Ministry of National Food Security & Research has been executing a World Bank funded Project viz. Locust Emergency & Food Security Project (LEAFS) having IDA credit number 6763-PK. The Project is aimed to strengthen the Department of Plant Protection to control Locust outbreak and other invasive pests, enhance the capacity of Provincial Plant Protection Departments, mitigate the negative social impacts associated with Pest attack and strengthen National Food Security Information System.
